Tunisia anticipates COVID-19 vaccines from GAVI alliance mid-February

Via the Geneva-based GAVI vaccine alliance, Tunisia expects to receive four million free doses of COVID-19 by mid-February, Health Minister Fouzi Mehdi said on Tuesday.

According to Reuters Africa, the doses would be adequate to immunise 2 million of the 11.5 million population of Tunisia.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said Saturday that Tunisia has become the third country in Africa to approve the use of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19.
