DR Congo gets new Senate leader
On Tuesday, President Felix Tshisekedi’s supporter was elected as the new Senate leader in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The election of Modeste Bahati Lukwebo comes after the establishment of a new parliamentary majority to depose Joseph Kabila’s camp.
Senator Modeste Bahati Lukwebo garnered 89 votes, an ultimate majority of votes, and emerges the President of the Senate, the provisional President of the upper house of the Congolese Parliament, Leon Mamboleo said.
