President Magufuli’s state burial underway
President John Magufuli’s state funeral is taking place in his childhood village of Chato, in Tanzania’s northwestern region.
The funeral is the culmination of the country’s fifth president’s commemorations. According to Nation Africa, the coffin of Magufuli was transported to six cities so that people could pay their respects.
After a mysterious absence of nearly three weeks, the Tanzanian chief died at the age of 61 from what authorities said was a heart attack last week Wednesday.
